Norway’s investment in life sciences is quietly being dismantled — and women’s health is the most vulnerable dimension, writes Chelsea Ranger in Wild Norway.

Norway ranks last in the Nordic region when it comes to venture capital for female founders, with a share of under one percent, and earmarked funding for women’s health is barely visible. When early-stage support is tightened and private capital is required already at the application stage, those who already have capital, networks, or status as serial entrepreneurs are favored.

The result is a policy that opts out of diversity and particularly impacts female founders and women’s health.
