The Nordic Charter for Women’s Health

WiLD Norway contributes to milestone Nordic Charter for Women’s Health 2040

WiLD Norway is proud to have contributed to the newly launched Nordic Charter for Women’s Health 2040—a groundbreaking framework created to re-frame women’s health as a cornerstone of Nordic resilience, innovation, and equality.

The Charter was developed through the collaboration of over 130 experts across Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Iceland, and officially launched in Copenhagen at the Finnish Embassy. It outlines a bold and actionable vision: to transform women’s health from a niche concern into a systemic, inclusive, and economically vital part of our future.

By 2040, millions of women across the Nordic region will be navigating aging and menopause at the same time. Rather than absorb the rising cost of inaction, the Charter calls for a strategic shift toward a Health Resilience Economy—an approach that could unlock 30 to 50 billion USD annually through innovation, prevention, and productivity.

Our founder, Chelsea Ranger, spoke at the launch event as part of the Nordic Women’s Voices panel, emphasizing the urgent need to integrate women’s health into how we define innovation, policy, and national progress.

The Charter is more than a vision—it’s a strategic roadmap. It positions the Nordic region as a global leader in health equity and signals a clear call to action for cross-sector collaboration.
