Director of Public Funding (Volunteer)

To grow our impact, we need someone who knows how to navigate public funding—and who wants to use that skill to drive real change. That’s where you come in.
The Role
As our volunteer Director of Public Funding, you’ll help us:
Spot and secure opportunities from Norway (national & regional), Nordic, and EU funding streams.
Build relationships with agencies & partners who believe in equity and sustainability.
Guide our team on proposals, reporting, and compliance.
Work with the Finance Team on a long-term funding strategy that allows Wild Norway to thrive.
Oversee project & budget reporting when funding is approved
What You Bring
Solid experience with grants, public funding, or related strategy – with proof of positive traction in receiving funding.
A knack for seeing the big picture and the fine print.
Curiosity, creativity, and the willingness to share your knowledge with others.
A team-oriented person who knows how to build & sustain strong relationships
A personal commitment to gender balance and inclusion.

The Commitment
This is an unpaid volunteer position. We expect around 2-5 hours a week, but we’ll shape the role with you so it works sustainably alongside your life.

Social Media & Community Manager (Volunteer)

To grow our voice and reach the right people, we need someone who knows how to navigate social media and digital communities and who wants to use those skills to drive real change.
The Role
As our volunteer Social Media & Community Manager, you’ll help us:
Create, plan, and publish engaging content on LinkedIn and other platforms.
Build and manage content calendars that align with our communications strategy.
Collaborate closely with our Creative Content & Visuals Manager to bring ideas to life.
Spot and apply social media trends that fit WiLD Norway’s mission and tone.
Foster meaningful engagement with our growing online community.
Support the team with updates to our Squarespace website and newsletters.
What You Bring
Hands-on experience with LinkedIn, Squarespace, and digital content creation.
A track record in managing online communities and driving engagement.
Strong writing and communication skills in English (Norwegian a plus, not required).
A sense of what works on social, from trends to tone.
A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working across a creative team.
A personal commitment to gender balance and inclusion.
