Full Stack Developer
(Volunteer Role)

WiLD Norway is looking for a proactive and skilled Full Stack Developer to help us build, maintain, and scale our website and digital infrastructure. This volunteer technical role will be instrumental in supporting both our community-facing platform and internal operations. You will collaborate with team members across departments to ensure our digital tools are functional, integrated, and scalable as our network continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

Website Development & Maintenance:

  • Develop and maintain WiLD Norway’s website (front and back end).

  • Improve site performance, accessibility, SEO, and user experience.

  • Ensure the site is mobile-responsive and regularly updated.

Platform Integration & Automation:

  • Implement and manage integrations with third-party tools (e.g., CRM, email marketing, event platforms, payment solutions).

  • Identify and build automation opportunities to support admin and operational workflows.

Technical Strategy & Support:

  • Collaborate with leadership to understand tech needs and offer scalable solutions.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure website security and stability.

  • Maintain clear documentation of code and systems for continuity.

Qualifications

  • Experience with full stack development (e.g., HTML/CSS, JavaScript, React, Node.js, Python, or other relevant technologies).

  • Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) and web hosting environments.

  • Familiarity with APIs, system integrations, and version control (e.g., Git).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Social Media and Community Manager (Volunteer Role)

WiLD Norway is looking for a proactive and skilled Social Media & Community Manager to help us strengthen, grow, and manage our digital presence across LinkedIn and Instagram. This volunteer communications role will be instrumental in supporting both our public positioning and community engagement efforts. You will collaborate with team members across departments to ensure our digital communication is strategic, consistent, and aligned as our network continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

Content Development & Publishing:

  • Develop and manage content calendars for LinkedIn and Instagram.

  • Create, draft, and publish engaging content tailored to each platform.

  • Ensure consistent tone, positioning, and messaging aligned with WiLD Norway’s mission and strategic priorities.

  • Support campaigns tied to events, mentorship programs, partnerships, and advocacy initiatives.

Community Engagement & Growth:

  • Monitor and manage WiLD Norway’s presence across LinkedIn and Instagram.

  • Respond to comments and direct messages in a timely and professional manner.

  • Foster meaningful dialogue with members, partners, and stakeholders.

  • Support member acquisition through strategic digital storytelling and visibility.

Collaboration & Brand Alignment:

  • Work closely with the Director of Communications and the Creative Content & Visuals Manager.

  • Ensure alignment between content, visual identity, and broader communication strategy.

  • Identify relevant trends and opportunities that strengthen WiLD Norway’s digital positioning within life sciences.

  • Contribute insights based on engagement performance to continuously improve content strategy.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing professional social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn and Instagram.

  • Strong writing and communication skills in English.

  • Experience in community management and professional audience engagement.

  • Ability to differentiate tone and format across platforms while maintaining brand consistency.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage editorial planning.

Director of Communications (Volunteer Role)

WiLD Norway is looking for a strategic and experienced Director of Communications to lead and shape our overall communications and positioning. This volunteer leadership role will be instrumental in strengthening WiLD Norway’s visibility, credibility, and influence within the Norwegian life sciences ecosystem. You will collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure our communication reflects a deep understanding of the Norwegian health value chain and the political framework surrounding innovation, healthcare, research, and labor.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Communications & Positioning:

  • Develop and lead WiLD Norway’s overall communications strategy.

  • Position WiLD Norway clearly within the Norwegian health value chain across research, healthcare, industry, and policy.

  • Ensure messaging reflects current developments in innovation policy, healthcare governance, research frameworks, and labor regulation.

  • Strengthen WiLD Norway’s credibility as a fact-based and knowledgeable voice in life sciences.

Public Affairs & Ecosystem Awareness:

  • Translate complex sector and regulatory developments into clear, accessible communication.

  • Guide how WiLD Norway engages in relevant public and political conversations.

  • Ensure communications support long-term influence, member growth, and systemic impact.

Team Leadership & Alignment:

  • Lead the WiLD Norway Communications Team.

  • Define messaging frameworks and narrative priorities across channels.

  • Ensure alignment between communications, mentorship, events, ambassador initiatives, and partnerships.

  • Collaborate closely with Board members and Directors to ensure coordinated delivery.

Brand & Impact:

  • Safeguard and evolve WiLD Norway’s brand identity and tone.

  • Oversee performance tracking and continuous improvement of communication efforts.

  • Ensure communication contributes to member acquisition, stakeholder engagement, and sponsorship credibility.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of the Norwegian health value chain, including public and private actors.

  • Insight into the political and regulatory frameworks shaping innovation, healthcare, research, and labor.

  • Experience in strategic communications, public affairs, or policy-driven environments.

  • Ability to translate complex systems into clear and credible messaging.

  • Experience leading teams or guiding contributors.

  • Strong writing and communication skills in English. Norwegian is an advantage.

  • Enthusiasm for WiLD Norway’s mission and a collaborative, can-do attitude.
