Event Overview

In life science and technology projects, collaboration is essential, but collaboration also makes intellectual property (IP) more complex.

In this webinar, we will take a practical look at IP rights in R&D‑driven and academic–industry collaborations. We will focus on how IP is identified, documented, and allocated as research evolves from early discovery to commercial application.

Key topics include R&D agreements and NDAs, how to assess patentability, and employee inventions. In particular, we will address how employee invention regimes interact with collaborative research, and why clear internal routines for disclosure, ownership and remuneration are critical in university and industry settings alike.

Our aim is to highlight common pitfalls and strategic choices, and to provide guidance on how to protect innovations while collaborating effectively across institutional and commercial boundaries.
